Is it legal to have dash cams in Kenya? They're common in Russia for self protection, visual proof to fend off charges from possibly-corrupt police officers, as well as protection against insurance scammers who often stage "accidents."

What's the recommended brand of a wide view dashcam for a personal use saloon car?

Modest screen say<4"
Budget 5-10k.
With motion sensorand night vision.

Garmin 55. Quite some nice features such as collision warning,incident detector,voice control and it's also GPS enabled......and oh, you can take still photos. I am not sure you can get one locally, but they are there in Dubai and you should also get one from Amazon. Be ready to part with kindu 12K -20K depending on where you source from. You may opt for their flagship model Garmin 35 and this should be within your budget but it does not come with those fancy features although it was still way ahead those of its generation.
