Our first ever railway line in embakasi will take a year to construct with funds readily available, my big question is how long will it take it to construct one from mombasa to nairobi? adistance of over 300km's and difficult terain,. With calculation of two km per year it means it will take over 150 years, talk of china stealing our jobs but if they can do it in ten yearss, i would rather prefer them do it than our brothers in KRA.

@african coloner, Embakasi has always had a railway line from as far back as I can remember. The line to be built is from JKIA to linkup with the Embakasi line. Time is required to sort out the way leaves, acquire land, compensate people displaced, demolish buildings along the planned route, reroute infrastructure like water, electricity, phone lines etc, and of course NEMA issues. The time taken to do these things for a 2 km track is not much different from 600 km.

LOL... Seems it will take longer to build the 2km than the Brits & Indians took to built 500kms from Mombasa to Nairobi!
