Kenyatta National Hospital is on the spotlight yet again for allegedly botching a minor surgery on a patient. 33-year old Hudi Shirala is said to have been admitted at the hospital in late January this year to undergo what was meant to be a minor surgery for a growth under his nose but his whole face has been mutilated and he has several cuts on his arms and body. With his condition fast deteriorating, family members are fearful that Hudi, who is also an albino could be a victims of the booming body parts trade.

Why'd they mutilate half his face & strip out large portions of skin from his body?

This is a case of all of us demanding an explanation and suing the hell out of all the individuals responsible for this.

Its just inhuman.

stay tuned here for some update. am sure someones imagination is in overdrive. at this rate, doctors in our public institutions will simply decline operating on albinos for fear of being branded body parts traffickers. most albinos usually present with an inccuarable form of skin cancer.........

LATEST UPDATE.
this patient was admitted with cancer of the upper lip. The affected area was removed surgically to get rid of the cancer tissues. Latter on reconstruction of the lip was done using grafts from other parts of the body. unfortunately this patient has an immune disorder that led to rejection of the graft. Suspecting foul play the patient complained to the Albino society who followed up the matter with the hospital authorities and were satisfied with the explanation given by the hospital. not satisfied by the outcome the family has engaged the services of a lawyer. it appears that the press was called in recently to whip up public emotions, and force the hospital enter an out of court settlement. it seems that we are headed for the courts

now that we know where the trouble was and that no apologies are forthcoming from those who rushed to condemn some hard working fellars, I propose that this post be deleted by the author or the administration, for it was obviously done out of ignorance.

Sad
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.
