You may see the farmers as lazy but they just adjusted over time to counter the predicament they are in. Mumias Sugar are far from the saints you think they are. BBI will solve it :)

Rank: Elder Joined: 2/7/2007 Posts: 11,935 Location: Nairobi		Cane price is an agreement between the farmer and the miller.Attempt by some busy bodies to hijack the process is an exercise in futility.....unless we are going back to the old days of price control.That aside,no one forces the "farmers" to grow cane (As if they do).....In a recent study,it was found that it is more viable and cheap to source cane from Uganda (Lugazi,Kakira and Kinyara fields).KSB and the "farmers" can keep their cane or better still,chew it.....I am with VVS!! Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.
