This is cause monroe is stiff and so can be bad on your back if you have a small car. Kayaba on the other hand is softer so easier on your back and car. So if you do alot of offroad take Monroe. But if town life Chukua kayaba. Happy hunting

Someone advised me to do that,especially when putting stiffer shocks like monroe,and I ended up replacing both shocks and springs for this 'small' car - aka saloon. So if you do alot of offroad take Monroe. But if town life Chukua kayaba.Quite true

Rank: Member Joined: 4/4/2007 Posts: 91		thanks dudes for the advice,i've been doing some research over the net and kayaba shocks seems to be more popular than monroe ... however where in this conterfeit product riddled country do u get original shocks and at what price .... i was quite amused by dt dobie when i took the car for service and they gave me a quote of 23k per shock .. the shock!! They maybe expensive but you will not find better @Pirate If you have heavy duty springs(rob's magis/monroe??) its ok to get KYB shocks. If your springs are the same ones from japan(i.e. light duty) don't go anywhere near KYB shocks,they will die on you so fast you won't believe. But then again if you are a tarmac guy(no offroad) you can still try your luck with KYB but be thou warned....! “Half of the troubles of this life can be traced to saying yes too quickly and not saying no soon enough.”
