I feel you,had been smoking for 8 years smoking between a pack and half a pack per day. Since July 17,I have been smoke free save for once or twice when I slid (my wife smokes)
Every day I wake up I count the no. of days that Ive been smoke free and thank God for that gift. For the sake of my kids Ive decided to take a day at a time and remain completely smoke free.
Key tips
1. Get everything you need as you go home so that you dont have to walk out in the evening unnecessarily.
2. On Weekdays,sleep early.
3. If you go to a club and have to catch a drink sit in the non smoking area.
4. Tell all your buddies that youve quit,so that they dont bother calling you to go to the smoking zone. Some will ask you to keep them company. DONT GO.
5. Get an extremely minty toothpaste and ensure you brush yr teeth with it every morning. That mint freshness discourages that early morning puff.
6. Keep rewarding yourself after each milestone,say after every 7 days.
