. I started eating this stuff when i was 10yrs after seeing another mama do it regularly, now 20 years later i am still trying to let go but nimeshindwa... What to do? Anyone here who was once a member and has since managed to quit successfully? Kindly advise or share how you managed.
@alo... this is a huge problem with ladies. it is a large market no wonder they are now selling at supermarkets. I have friends who put these 'stones' as part of their monthly shopping.
i was once a mteja. A day couldnt pass without eating.... we even used to borrow from each other with other colleagues (shameful!!). when i became expectant i was weak, constant headaches, short breaths, fatigue etc. When i went to hospital, they diagnosed that i had severe anemia. They put me on iron supplements for three months and after a week taking them, i complete forgot i even had some.... whenever i thought of eating them, i just couldnt bring myself to putting them in the mouth and was wondering why i would even think of it.
Well, two years down the line, i almost went back to the habit but i went to hospital and again, i was anemic... the doc said the body craves for what it doesnt have. See a general physician and they will sort your out.
