Hot off the press. MSC EPS1.03 v 1.05. Last year. Profits were up for the year, but they had to pay taxes this year unlike the tax credit last year. Jeez lewiz. Nothing is ever straight forward with MSC. I think the results are...no opinion. http://www.nse.co.ke/new...End%20Year%20Results.pdf

I am sure the cogen business has not contributed significantly to the bottomline of the company.

Pretax 2.18B vs 1.19B last year. Only thing is that the got a tax credit last year and this year they had to pay taxes so PAT was Down 2% yoy.

The future outlook, management remains optimistic. Blah blah blah, difficult 2nd half, world sugar prices up, comesa sugar or cheap sugar couldn't come into Kenya coz of better prices in europe. Highlighted water plan. Nothing really special. Is it me or is that this management doesn't really give a proper outlook. Coz HY they painted rainbows and sunshine but when the results come out, they are jes the same as last years.

Perhaps you expected twins when the doctor said a big baby..lol.. my reading is that the co-generation revenue fy2009/2010 was realized in the second half.. thus we can expect that to double to over 700m in coming year. It isn't that bad.
