Before am brandished racist or someones favorite phrase ( mentally colonised african)please note this is just a discussion.

Over time we have seen black sportsmen grace us with skill untold, but what is weird is that scandal never seems to be far off, is it something we generally suffer or will the white journalist go to any lengths to uncover this myth!! i have drawn some parallels from the top athletes in my opinion in their respective sport for better understanding what i mean.

NFL - Peytton Manning, Tom Brady, Micheal Vick (in 2007, Mike was Implicated in illegal dogfighting rings, lost jobo and salo...Anyone knows a scandal involving a white quarter back in NFL.

NBA - Kobe (and a host of other black NBA superstars)have been involved in scandal, kobe lost his sprite endorsements for sexual molestation.Any white scandals?

Golf!! The Tiger..well nuff said..Greg Norman, lee westwood, oistehizen anyone..

Baseball - Sammy Sosa (first batter to hit 60 homeruns in a season 3 times)..lakini he was found out his bat was illegal, had used cork..So that leaves Mcgwire as the home run king..

Boxing - Mike tyson..aliuuma maskio, still waiting to hear a scandal from pacqiao, and others the the 2 ukranian giants..

I could go on and on, but my question is wsup with blacks or is it the white scandals are not hyped as much.

The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence; it is to act with yesterday's logic.

Peter Crouch got a paid-for BJ from a teen slut in Spain last week .....(if UK's Daily Mail is to be believed). Ribery was also in some shady shenanigans with dubious women in the run up to World Cup. We are all evil

Ricdees has made arguments, why counter with insults? His object may appear trivial but it may not be, in return you make trivial pronouncements over a matter that is beyond you

@Ric Dees

If a man lived alone on a desert island there is nothing he could do that would be scandalous. What I mean is what is scandalous or not is determined by the opinion of other people about ones actions. It therefore does not say much about the person but about the society that judges him. HSBC likes to call itself the local bank wherever they go and to do that they try to understand the local people. They once ran a very interesting TV advert some years back in which they showed how normal peoples behaviour in one part of the world would be considered rude or even insulting in some other part of the world. For example showing the palms of your hands like we do when saying bye is considered offensive in Greece.

Just to pick on the examples you have given. The scandal for Kobe and Tiger is that a married man had sex sometimes with multiple partners outside marriage. I will ask this honestly of all men in Wazua. How many of you felt the same sense of moral outrage you felt when you heard the news of Tiger's infidelity as when you heard that Ringera had been reappointed? I will go first. My feelings for Tiger Woods were more sympathetic to him than outrage. I could identify with his fear and agitation that all this scandal had created for his reputation and was actually annoyed at the first woman who sold the story. At no point did I feel he had committed any crime until I talked to a female relative who expressed so much outrage at his behaviour that she went as far as saying that he should be treated as a serial killer. It was then that in occured to me that while looking at the same situation we can come to conclusions that are quite conflicting. Had Tiger been South African where the president is not only polygamous but also an avid away player, would his actions have been scandalous?

You would have to have lived in the States to understand the definition of sexual harassment in America. Women are very powerful there and are given the benefit of the doubt in all matters sexual. A claim of sexual molestation can result simply from looking at a woman suggestively to saying the wrong things even before you have touched her. The society is also very verbal in its communication so that what a woman says is supposedly what she means. Mama anaweza kutoa suruali yake na atoe yako pia na akuvalishe condom na agusishe nini yako kwa nini yake halafu aseme No!! even with her legs wide apart. If after this point you proceed any further you would be guilty of the offence of rape.

So to explain the scandals I would say black men have found themselves in prominent places in the white mans world where the rules are different and they have acted according to their nature. I don't think there is anything wrong with them. But again that is just my opinion.

Ric dees, There is a guy called Ben Roethlisberger, a quarterback who has made another career out of dodging rape accusations. So much that someone created a website dedicated to protesting his alleged 'co-curriculum activities' See link http://rapelisberger.com and sells T-shirts reading '' no means no''

This has got some people wondering what would have happened if Ben was a black guy. I dare say he would have tasted prison already. I am not trying to say black athletes are angels, but there is a way the American justice system looks at blacks.

Ric, anything you wish to prove can be very easily proven especially in this age of the internet by selective presentation of facts.
Great men are not always wise, neither do the aged understand judgement...
