Standard Chartered Bank- ist a bonus issue or a rights issue??

There was a mention of either a bonus or a rights issue of the STD bank. Is it official? Or is it like the consolidation of Safcom that never is? Its not recorded at Wazua's annoucement section.

Its a rights issue,1 for every 10.That is about 27m shares and i figure they will be very cheap compared to the going market price.

Its a rights issue check on the announcements section in the price list.you can obtain a price list from nse website

At 93/- it would be a BUY... I will even say at 93/-... you should BUY, BUY, BUY the Rights Shares!!!

[i.e. the shares 'offered' to you in the Rights Issue not going & buying Rights in the market at high prices]

Simple arithmetic, 2.5B to be raised divided by 27M new shares created.
