bbk released Q1 financials on 31st may, last possible day for banks. What does that tell you of the management's opinion of themselves?

@astute no one will "advice" you to buy BBK. Not much excitement on this stock like Equity and CO-OP.

If you are a long term value investor BBK, SCBK et al will rarely disappoint.

Lots of dividend and slow but sure growth in value.

@astute, am not privy to @stat's academic angle but i swear by the trading floor, only 10% buy and sell with their heads, the rest by emotions.

With all the talk on excitement, people should remember that it was said that you can't buy what is popular and do well.
Buffett: ‘Most people get interested in stocks when everyone else is. The time to get interested is when no one else is. You can’t buy what is popular and do well.’
GOD BLESS YOUR LIFE

nic is a good buy now, but am not a student of diversification and so am not buying it coz there are better counters in the short term. In the long term, there are the world markets to worry about

foreign banks offload their short term gains to cover losses in europe and japan. What happens to our market if 200m shares are floated in 2 weeks as happened in oct 08

@sparkly, cant avoid them. I just have to be extra carefull. E.g, i never hold in bears, and a max of 2 weeks in stags. Either is evidence of an error in my expectations
