I've been trying hard to get a hold of these shares because by many metrics its fairly cheap and i know it will not survive a share split come next year but honestly its hard to find these shares anywhere....

does any one out there know a reason why i should or shouldn't buy these shares???

What do u mean u cant find the shares? There are 2,200 on offer at the moment... So unless, you want 20,000... buy these for now...

What holiday? Why buy JHL in UG if you can buy in Kenya... far more liquid...

185/- but I have no idea if it is a good buy at this price... I do agree JHL is among the best insurance firms in East Africa...

@VVS looks look i'm going to have to bid up the price Because first of all i'm looking to hold them for 5 years or more and i'm chasing the bonus and dividends and the P/E is fair and the balance sheet looking good... plus i believe the retained earnings last year will definitely be put to good use....

but the icing on the cake is the NSE perfomance... these guys have a whole 4billion invested in the NSE equities...

Didn't you hear what happened to CFC last year?
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.
