Safaricom is back to 6 shillings. Could it reach 7 or even 6.50? But how long?
Just saw a report by Sterling Investment Bank which astonishingly put it at 7.40/=
What do you guys think?

@youcan'tstopusnow, i have a report from sterling ib dated 30-04-2010
"As Safaricom clearly moves from the transient period (period of high growth) to the stable state
characterized by normal growth, we take a slightly conservative view on the future outlook. The existing
upside potential will largely be dependent on the growth of the data market. Based on this position, our
valuations yield a high price of Kshs 6.10 (price to Book value). We accordingly settle for the average price of
Kshs 5.98 as our target price, presenting an upside potential of only 3.00% to the current market price of Kshs
5.80 and recommend the share as a HOLD."

Have they released another report?

It was a daily newsletter dated 27th April 2010. Sterling was putting the value of Safaricom share price at 7.4 if they use their trailing p.e of 22.02
In the newsletter it had a column for "P/E Share Value" which they interpreted as Share Value based on P/E multiple.

The market is epecting a dividend of 20-25 cents or a scrip issue.... this promises good returns to investors...
then there is the long term expectaions from the company....

what we need now is for JP morgan to revise upwards their price target from 6.4

What's your confusion? 150k x 5 = 750k (profit)

Waiting for 6.75 for my next off-load. I'm not in a hurry though.

@vvs,
assuming a commission of 2.13%...

buying...2.75x150000x1.0213=421,286.25
selling..6.10x150000x0.9787=895,510.50
profit...895510.50-421286.25=474,224.25

price today is however lower, looks like it will close @5.90
