I exited this one at 32 and have never looked at it again even though it made me almost 300% returns. Was tempted to buy at sub-11 but changed my mind. For one, I do not have a computer that can work out fast enough, the impact of the countless foreign loans - almost daily - KenGen takes on its value?

Who really knows the net value of this company and how much it owes and in what currencies? Will the stock price now slump in view of the imminent govt sale?

Forex costs passed on to KPLC... who try to pass them onto us... hence the higher electricity prices...

Oil from $40s to $85 (thru the roller-coaster as high as $145)
US$ from KShs 67 to KShs 77

Please my friend forget about KENGEN if you do not invest for long term like me 3 years minimum.

But a divided of 0.90 on Ksh 15.80 price is a good one, that is the only consolation for us the long term investors at the moment.

But be aware 11 to 13.50 seems quite ideal and it will most likely click after IPO rush to settle at a lower price stated above.

EPS and dividends on this stock will continue to go lower and lower and lower...

but its still a good long term buy provided there is good management of their huge debt
