Kenya's National Sevens Rugby Team better known as SHUJAA are raring to go ahead of the Hong Kong Sevens that kicks off this morning.

This is according to Team Manager Newton Ong'alo. The side had training matches against Fiji and France which in his words "went well"

Ong'alo added, "The boys are in good mood. They have got over the slip ups in Adelaide and were raring to go."

Shujaa features in the so called "Africa Flavour" POOL F, and will square off in the preliminary pool group matches against Korea, Zimbabwe and South Africa in that order.

On MATCH DAY ONE; Shujaa plays its opening fixture against Korea at 1.20pm Kenya time today.

ON MATCH DAY TWO; Saturday 27th Match,
Shujaa will play two games in the pool matches.

First they are up against Zimbabwe at 9.32am Kenya time.

They then wind up their group fixtures with a clash against continental rivals South Africa at 1.56pm.

MATCH DAY THREE will be determined by the outcome of the preliminary matches.

@Magigi, Adelaide was partly hard luck on the boys!!!

Clearly Kenya have grand intentions for the Hong Kong 7s!

The second half just started and and Shujaaa are already six tries up, with no reply from the hapless Korea. Kenya lead 34 - 0!

Let's hope the trend continues for the other group games as well.

It's time to take the gloves off: this boys have been a providing a constant stream of disappointments experience notwithstanding.
In Adelaide Kenya was the only country to have gone with the same team all others had a NEW outfit or majority players changed.
SA had four new entrants, Australia had a totally new team, meanwhile our MOST EXPERIENCED boys continue to disappoint.
Benja we all know you take a cut from the allowances given to the guys, and this forms the backbone on who goes and does not make it to the team. 40k per trip surely 10k each that's a bit too much don't you think??
Collins Injera, stop playing for the money, passion is what it takes and needed at that high level don't ask yourself why your trials in SA were not successful.
