Would the Announcement section in Wazua help? That's what I go by plus you can select specific counters that go back to 2006.

BBI will solve it

Announcements in Wazua does not provide when the results are announced...

good idea @vitu. One of the requisites of efficient markets is the uniformity of information getting to all the players. Our market is quite inefficient on this score. We could do with good dissemination of dates of expected announcements and even the content of those announcements

Here some guys, know what the results are way before they get announced

Question. If I'm a mere accountant of a company traded in the exchange, is it insider trading if I buy or sell shares because I can see the the curve like tree months to announcement? What are the rules? If I'm a printer printing an annual report, or an auditor, or messenger and I happen to see the figures should I ignore?

BBI will solve it

I used to rant about this lack of consistency in timing of reporting, but i think one gets over it.
We must be realistic about the NSE.
One, the only reason that we make the gains we make is chiefly is because there is a seriuos case of assymetrical infomation going and only those that can understand and invest on fundamentals make money...
As such, getting hang up on the exact date the results will be releeased rather than the anticipated shape of the said results is ofcourse to miss the woods for the trees...

i think it should also be put into law requiring listed companies to also provide announcements to the CMA just like SEC before releasing it. Good work vvs.

@2012 it is a form of insider trading but i dont think no one would arrest you for it... i just think its one of the market inefficiencies of the market and besides i dont think accountants, printers, or messengers have the finacial muscle to move the markets with inside information..

@Gordon Gekko Thanks alot.

@wazua Admin. Maybe you can introduce a section/page/link to contain release dates, interim&final dividends declared, and dividend payment dates. This will be very informative.

@GG - Let me incorporate those but these seem like dividend payout dates rather than announcement dates. Please let me know if I am mistaken.

I wonder how bad the lag is between announcements to NSE & to public via newspaper.

EQTY not too bad, especially for a year when they were investing heavily (huge asset base growth!). Plus, discounting for the abnormal profit of 2008 due to Safcon income, 2009 profit during a year of such heavy investment is impressive. Coming years should be quite good for this counter.
