she needs money real fast, options being taking an unsecured loan ama secured one with a title deed as security.

Your pal is not a member of a SACCO??.

Have you talked to the hospitals credit team ? What options do they give you ,now that you are willing to give fixed asset collateral ?

Why not borrow from the bank you bank with? Most banks will require your income to be channeled through them. Since you are pressed for time opening a new account will take your precious time.

actually theres no beef with the hospital,in-fact the hospital bills are well taken care of.

the surgeon who did the job is the one who needs his payments before the patient can be released.

@gathinga said no shylocks......

will explore the sacco option,thanx @njunge

I think the best option would be the Sacco....if they belong to one.

surgeon cannot detain the patient on account of his unpaid bill...

1) Get another doctor to discharge the patient. It can be done.
2) It is the patient's right to be discharged.
3) WRITE to the Kenya Medical Association as well the Social Service League (owners/trustees of MP Shah Hospital) about the surgeon's actions!!!

And who is this surgeon???
