Perhaps to give the ignorant among us more psyche, any success stories on the value or gain received locally from CQF or CFA? I approach professional course stricly from cost benefit perspective hence my ignorance.

Which ever professional course you choose to take, a good command of the English language, both written and spoken shall be a distinct advantage

My penny thoughts.

Try CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accounting)if management accounting is your line, else an Msc in your line of work.

Isn't it sad that people nowadays pursue courses that will put bread on the table and not do what they really want? I would for instance love to teach but......

Akowally that is wise but poor guys also get ulcers and rich guys actually pay people to do the worrying for them. Which would you want to be poor and unable to pay medical bills or rich and pay someone to do the worrying for you.

@Mahegoat are you a teacher. Is a command in maths important. What about biology, chemistry, music and the list goes on and on!

@ tony stark

If you do a course or a job that you do not like, you might end up either being a rich, miserable dude or a poor miserable dude...and as much as rich guys might pay people, there are some things that you just cannot pay off and those are what are mostly called THE BEST THINGS IN LIFE. These are blessings that come from God i.e. salvation, wisdom, happiness, true friendship, love, a truly awesome wife and family e.t.c

As for which I would want to be, definitely not poor...if God directs me to earthly riches, then so be it...I have my targets and pray and work hard towards them...but I want to be more of a God fearing, joyful and fulfilled person and God willing have even more riches in heaven...

never ever get into something you don't like for the love of the money.
I did it..i got a good salo but i honestly hate my job. I can't help it...i just dread waking up in the morning. now am back to school for a change of course.
Never do it......love what you wake up to do everyday...even if the pay will not automatically make you rich.

@nmt. I feel the same way. Although I'm starting to wonder whether it's the job I dislike or the fact that I'm working for someone else. But often it's people (mostly family) who push you into those situations, at least from my perspective. I'm back to school as well (CFAs).

very true scubidu. the problem though is that once you get certain grades the society expects you to study certain things. I think if u were doing something you like you wouldn't mind waking up in the morning to do it. I cannot wait for the day i will move to something i wanna do. I certainly hate my job. I just get the encouragement on the fact that there are people without jobs. never put money first ever.
