When Telkom introduced their data services...

I broke my knees running to their dealers.....

then Safari-con introduced their services...

and rumour is rife...

they will make twice from data than voice.....

and sms...

so i ask myself...

am I missing something...???

then it hits me....

it takes 3MB to open my website....

it takes a further 2MB to open wazua...

and another 3MB to open yahoo......

just to open three (3) websites....

i consume....

8MB.....

and take 30 minutes.....

is this is a monumentous rip off...

or is it monumentous genius....???

and we are monumentous......

buffons....???
I'm the real Massey Fergu...... Shut your mouth....

Data is quite costly here. I have an idle safcon and zain modems that I haven't used for months. The answer is Opera Mini!!

>> @ Ondiek you ave said it like it is. Unless someone is reading PDF documents or downloading I don't see why they should not be using opera mini. Its cheap, cheaper when you turn off images and cheapest when using a YU line...On YU 1Obob rarely gets used up in a whole day.

To say that data is expensive in Kenya espcially on mobile devices(modems) is to understate the frustrations of consumers. However, the problem is with the tariff system, the pricing of data has remarkably been approached from short term revenue maximization hence why we have per byte or per second billing.Data , because of the nature of the service, should foremost be a flat rate over a fixed period of time for a given bandwidth.

Anything else the pricing experts are misleading
