it defeats logic that mau squatters got into the forest illegally and subdividend it amongthemselves, knowing too well this was government protected area. someone so influential managed to get the titles processed but lacked the guts to have the forest excised anyway to legalise human settlement. before i deviate, these squatters therefore stole land, and by rewarding them we are correcting a WRONG with a WRONG, which wont make right anyway. these squatters should not be compensated at all, infact they should compensate the government for the loss of resources. my views
