What would you consider to be the most effective way of investing Ksh 5 million if one wants very secure and quick returms?

Would you go for land,a built house,buiding a house and selling it,shares,using the money as a deposit to get a bigger loan to buy a commercial building,treasury bills etc. I am not tempted to buy a house to live in,as I want to generate more money using this capital

I am at a loss and need your advise. Any ideas please.

what is the % that you want the returns to be. FDR offer 7.1% per month. mutual funds is 12% and yah you can buy subdivide and sell land.

Spread ua investment. If I were u,I would split btwn land n stocks. For instance,im xpecting a mad rush 4 land at thika n along thika road once the highway n bypasses are completed. Dont put all thoz eggs in one basket...

The only reason why some people are still alive is coz its illegal to shoot them!!

diversify wisely. i wouls also advise you to split the amount,you may invest 1M in stocks,2M in a money market fund,talk to me on that. and the rest you could buy land somewhere but be careful on the land so that you don't buy in an area that maybe the bypass will be passing or something like that.where would you be looking at buying land for example,we could start there.

You can put a fraction of the money in offshore investments which are very secure and flexible(can withdraw anytime). Talk to me if you choose that option.

Are you interested in farming? There is a 35 acre farm land on sale @ 90k per acre. The farm has a borehole with a fully installed pump for irrigation. If you or anybody else interested,talk to me.

i would not recommend offshore investment since you want to get returns fast and offshore is advised long term,you could also consider forex if you're a risk taker.as you weigh the options you can have it in our money market fund at 8.15%per annum.you could mail me on wasuki_83@yahoo.co.uk. for more details on our money market.all the best.

@All.

The land is in siakago about 40km from Embu town. The catch is you have to buy the whole 35 acres coz the owner wants to sell it at once. The area is accessible by tarmac and the land is fertile for farming. The crops which do well in the area include melons,mangoes(all types that are sold at Uchumi) and recently guys are growing muguka aka miraa.

Its my family selling.

Catch the bull tide right now with some offshore funds in Asia Pacific,invest in a fund that gives you a well structured choice of funds based on risk and one that gives access to your funds anytime. Review the performance of your fund after six months,then make a decision. There are funds in Asia pacific that have returned way above 51% in six months as at july 09. If you are keen,i'd be happy to serve you.
