Equity Bank continues to increase its branch network in the country with the opening of seven more branches in Western Kenya last week. Four of the branches were opened on Friday in Malaba,Busia,Bungoma and Luanda. The remaining three were opened on Saturday in an event officiated by Deputy Prime Minister,Mr. Musaila Mudavadi. The western Kenya economy is mainly agricultural based and the bank’s Chief Executive Officer James Mwangi said the bank will conduct financial literacy campaigns to empower people to seek credit as part of the launch activities.
