The County councils are the greedy most lot and can sell you a plot at the city center of Nairobi as they expect to eat before change in govt.This is replicated in all Counties

Why do you think building are collapsing?
The bright assumed Engineers employed by NCA are just hyenas moving around for hard bones to break.

They are taking advantage not to properly regulate buildings for safety but to extract Bribes and leave the own comfortable that they can make what they want cheaply and without any safety

You refuse to pay a bribe and they comb your documents and building for unnecessary errors and spray the building with names "Stopped by NCA", "Cancelled by NCA' etc. You will even see your neighbor who cough a bribe building a 2-3 floor building without permit and your normal perimeter wall or stand alone extension sprayed just because you refuse to bribe.

Someone says they pay material transport workers(like the sand trucks) money to tell them where they sell sand. Again these hyenas are all over especially in the cities, towns and their suburbs.

Power connections- you might be paying fake people to connect your power and give you fake papers. After all is done and paid for the real people appears and tell you that is not your meter and disconnect it forcing you to renegotiate with them and pay a high price for another meter and a bribe not to be reported. This happens to water too

Education sector is another sector where parents are paying a lot even to secure transfer letters.
You have even to buy uniform from pre-secured deals

Licenses are secured with sin money and you can pay more due to many secured stand alone brokers in the corridors, jump a broker and you pay by time!!!
