Ni kubaya. If you supported mau forest evictions then you should also support ngong road forest evictions. Quote:The government is to begin repossessing all land illegally acquired by private developers inside Ngong Road Forest.
Environment CS Keriako Tobiko on Friday said the forest, once reclaimed, will be linked up to the Nairobi National Park.
Tobiko said an underpass will be built to create an expanded dispersal area for wildlife.
More than 800 homes are sitting on the Ngong Road Forest land.
They include Park View, Sunvalley I and Sunvalley II, Kenya Medical Association, Lang'ata View Apartments and St Mary’s Hospital, Forest Edge Maisonettes.
In the illegally hived off area, a 40 by 60 feet plot goes for Sh12 million. Proverbs 13:11 Dishonest money dwindles away, but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow.

For gazetted forest land to be hived off, parliament must de-gazette the land first. Past land commissioners have been known to hive off and issue gazetted land illegally to politically connected individuals. The land would be later be sold and re-sold many times over.

Even those in mau forest have title deeds and were also sold forest land by a former mp. Why evict those in mau forest and spare those in ngong forest? Everyone should move out of forests. Period. There is only one law and it should apply to all. Proverbs 13:11 Dishonest money dwindles away, but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow.

There is lack of political will to address the land grabbing of gazetted forests and water catchment areas once and for all. This will cost us dearly in the near future. If you look at the case below, this was a simple open and shut case and should have lead to a conviction but alas the star witness was bought with a plum job posting. The KPC Ngong Forest Land Scandal was a scandal that resulted in the suspension in October 2012 of Kenyan Government Minister William Ruto who was charged in court as a result.
Mr Ruto and four other persons faced fraud charges over the alleged sale of a piece of land in Ngong forest to Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) for Sh272 million.Quote:In April 2011, Mr. Ruto was acquitted of the Sh43 million land fraud charges for lack of evidence after the prosecution failed to produce in court the then Finance Manager Hellen Njue to give her evidence on how she paid out the money. His co-accused, Mr Joshua Kulei and Mr Sammy Mwaita, were also set free. Quote:“The prosecution failed to produce in court the then Finance Manager Hellen Njue to give her evidence on how she paid out the money. It is, therefore, clear that none of the accused ever received any money from KPC. The prosecution has failed to prove its case, thus all the accused persons have no case to answer.” Quote:It also emerged that Ruto had in July 2009 appointed Ms Njue, a key witness in the case, to the board of trustees of the Coffee Development Fund.
At the time of the appointment, Ruto was facing a charge of fraudulently receiving money from Njue, acting on behalf of KPC, by pretending he could sell to the corporation 1.75 hectares of land in Ngong Forest. The offence is said to have been committed on September 6, 2001.

You can't vote for the biggest land grabbers in the history of Kenya and expect them to resolve this issue. All of Kenya's presidents thus far have been major land grabbers. You reap what you sow.
