They say usanii ni kioo ya jamii. This one video encapsulates what is wrong with Kenya, our politics, our corruption etc. We are a country of sheep.

Majority are not sheep actually, just too pragmatic to understand that the state apparatus is a ruthless system. It is not worth it to assert your rights.
BTW, I find these hidden camera shows quite illuminating in understanding a people's culture.
Saw one from the US where a couple fights on the street. The lady repeatedly hits the guy and everyone just looks, but the moment the guy hits back, everyone jumps in to restrain him.

I'm for restraining the guy. Men should restrain men from beating women because of manners and men know the kind of physical damage a man can inflict on a woman. A man's blow is a dangerous weapon. Similarly, women should restrain other women when they find one of them harassing a man.

BBI will solve it :)

This is very interesting. Contrast the passivity in the face of oppression by an authority figure in the video above with the enthusiasm to restrain in the video below. What does this say about us?

It is called double standards. It seems the society finds it okay for a women to assault a man. But if the reverse happens, the man is beaten or arrested.

My only advise to the women with this habit, DO NOT HIT A MAN TWICE!

We are a country of hypocrites, we show deference to authority then go out and plot small nasty schemes to get back at the authority. That's why nyayo relied heavily on intel to gauge the proper mood of the people.
