Now that iTunes is RIP, I thought it would be nice to have a thread to share the latest and greatest apps folks are using out there.

I use Deezer for music and Castbox for podcasts.

Both have a decently priced premium offerings: Deezer costs me $7.49 p.m. for a family account that allows 6 users and Castbox costs me $0.99 p.m. to go ad free.

What do you use and what is economically more affordable ?

i use spotify on my phone and pc, i haven’t tried the premium features like downloading the songs.Videos i just download with IDM from youtube. Am not big on podcasts but the native podcasts app on the iPhone is ok.
NB: may need to use VPN for registration and when logging in for the first time on spotify, set country to UK or US.
Those who follow the crowd usually get lost in it

Geolocking is what has put me off Spotfy tbh...I'd rather spend my money on someone who doesn't lock me out depending on my address.

Deezer has an Africa division, so it seems they are focusing on us. They also promote local artists in North Africa and I suspect they will be coming here with the same attitude.

All DJ have websites where you download mixes for free. Sometimes stream live on YouTube. With my car Bluetooth on I am sorry to say it's been long since I bought music/songs apart from special cases where I have been aproached by a hawker with a special mix of a pirated CD.
Politics is just things to keep the people divided and foolish and put your trust in men and none of them can do nothing for you...
