An aeroplane flying from japan to the US flies eastwards. And a KQ flight from JKIA to JFK airport New york will fly westwards . Kweli dunia ni mviringo, a ball.

Very interesting.

There is actually a short cut on one of the world's longest non stop flight from Singapore to Newark. From both cities you would just have to go straight up North and keep going and you would arrive at the other city. Planes however take a slightly Easterly direction to avoid heavy winds.

That answers my question. Have always wondered why they don't just fly north.

An international airline must depart from the main IATA recognised airport in this case Vancouver,as it's closer to BC.
Your origin airport is therefore vancouver not BC.

BC-Vancouver-Take a Nduthi
Vancouver-moscow- Airline -fly north then east and south to moscow.
Just guessing the route

They factor in the shortest, profitable, most secure, less congested, well connected route and weather.
Then add freedoms of the air.

Interesting how ships used to sail from Britain to australia before the age of the steam ships. To return to Britain they would sail eastwards from australia, via southern tip of south america, taking advantage of the winds.

you hang by the side of the ship and do your thing right into the water!! then clean yourself!! for you that are disgusted - think about it!! sharks, whales not only poop in the water but die there!! they rot there!! the ocean is a pooping and rotting place for billions of organisms... what's poop from a single guy?
I once met a guy who told me he will never eat sea fish while in a certain unnamed country because they were pumping the effluent of their sewage to... the sea (sea wage?) !! I reminded him of the fact that blue whales... 140 tonnes of flesh oza in there.
