Power Outages--Which Co. Suffers..KP or Kengen?

Not sure if this query has been raised before.When there are frequent power outages,which Co. suffers financially,ie would KP have paid for power which they fail to provide or is the power to KP metered?

Both. If you look at your power bill, you will see that there is charge for units of power consumed.

Similarly the Power Purchase Agreement between Power producers and KP has a charge for capacity as well as units sold.

KP...

KP buys power from Kengen. Kengen doesnt care how it gets to you and if its lost in transmission. Thats Ketraco and KP's headache

The one at fault..if fault originates from distribution network the KP will pay for idle capacity. If fault is in genereation then the power producer (not neceasiry kg) compensates kp for the loss

Yes, as per the power purchase agreement. But the claim has to be lodged of course and evaluated. Oftentimes they owe each other and some claims just cancel out..
