I feel sad for this great African artist but when it comes to money matters, one ought to adjust when the well goes low or dries up.

His next month's rent is 44,000/= and he still doesn't know how he will settle it, after being saved from the auctioneer's hammer recently.

Those who are close to him should tell him to move to Kinoo, Kikuyu, or Zambezi where rents are in the range of 15-25K. Alternatively from the single sale of his artwork he can buy a plot in Ruai/Kamulu kaa uzeeni.

Being threatened by auctioneers regarding the roof you sleep under is very stressful.

Story ndio hii

There is a reason why Equity Bank, Tuskys, Nakumatt to name but a few don't own buildings.

From the up and downs of business,I have come to appreciate the value of a home...whose compound I use to generate some agri-business income. Some things cannot be measured by money..but makes all the sense when money runs out sometimes.

Having been in business, a place to call home that is loan free should come first. Business can be tricky sometimes!

They prefer to lease mostly but the holding company probably owns the UpperHill HQs building.

The Upperhill Equity HQ building is owned by UAP.

List them.
I know JM owns many properties but not sure of any owned by the bank.

Somehow I have been - this industry is very tough. You just have to have another hustle until you break even.

Unlike musicians, artists and writers are yet to be 'celebrated' in Kenya.

Should an artist expect to be celebrated? Should an artist have a home, should he/she expect mercy from accountants?

I'm trying to find time to understand Katarikawe, and I'm so confused at the moment...

When a man in his late years cannot be rent, its not funny. Wishing him well as he sorts out the setback
