Read somewhere that one chillie in some UK supermarkets go for 1 pound (around Ksh 120) and in Kenya we buy them at 2 bob. Go figure.

In Ireland,Tesco - i bought Dania (Coreander) for Euro 1.29. And mind you these had a proud.. 'Produced in Kenya' label.

The same costs 3 bob in Kangemi.

Am sure the same applies to Chillies. I wonder how much (% wise) horticulture brings to our nation.
