or equivalent in these towns.

Nakuru
Eldoret
Kericho
Kisumu
Kerugoya
Nyahururu
Meru
Thika

Let me clarify my intention. If you were to earn a constant 70k take home pay regardless of where you lived, in which of these towns would your salary stretch you the furthest? I can only think of rent as a measure. If someone has a better factor that can be used to rank cost of living in the 8 towns just throw it in there too.

What other factor can be used to measure something like the size of the middle class in each of the 8 towns? Number of supermarkets?

I guess it will also matter where in those towns. But on average 10k to 15k would do for any of those towns.

I like these ideas already. Pubs and Nyama Choma joints and price of alcohol as a measure of disposable income. Does anyone here work for EABL or Keroche or even Cocacola who can rank the 8 towns on consumption and price?

Also consider the ease of doing business i.e landing(ofcourse not with your girlfriend or wife) but one night stands.

The ease of doing business translates to lower living standards and hence low cost of life

Cost of landing should be low in Kericho.
