The subsidiaries are growing well in terms of assets but profits not so good, 45% drop. In South Sudan subsidiary it looks horrible, just hope this country maintains peace to get businesses there back on track. Kenyan unit held 95% of the group's profits Tanzanian unit solid asset and loan portfolio growth but deposits are stagnant at 1% from Q12015 and drop of 8% from Q42015. Rwanda muscular growth in all areas apart from profits, 50% drop. Would love to see their costs Uganda top performer outside Kenya in terms of profits +2% but drop in loan portfolio. South Sudan well this a country full of mayhem. No peace, low oil prices (negative revenues once it went below $30) and the currency issues YIKES. Still waiting for the deal with UN agencies to pump in some life. DRC The new kid on the block is doing double digit growth on all sectors apart from profitability. Must be high cost of expansion and marketing. +71% in loan book, impressive. Equitel doing Ksh2.5 billion in loans a month even though I still get 0 every month in terms of loan limits. With 97% repayment rate this is solid so far.

Was watching the presentation and thought Dr. Mwangi seemed over exited and overdoing things. Interrupting every one who stood to speak. “Invest in yourself. Your career is the engine of your wealth.”

Tumeshazoea. Dont you think Mr Mbaru knows that and that you know that. Dont you think he knows the market is skeptic. I think he expected a bad report and the outcome pleasantly surprised him. About a month ago my eazzy loan limit was 20,000 and eazzy loan plus limit was 25,000. Just checked now to find that the amounts have changed to 67,500 and 652,300 respectively! I only use my bank account for salary processing. How is it that all of a sudden I can borrow hundreds of thousands of shillings? Has anyone else noticed this?Dr. Mwangi did indicate yesterday that they had increased the loan limit by 5 times. Is this good for business? Have they really taken into account one's ability to pay?

There will be some defaults but overall Equity has looked at your credit-worthiness. Your salary, your CRB report, your balances, etc. Greedy when others are fearful. Your salary, your CRB report, your balances, etc. What a jump though @VVS. Let's hope they don't get burnt by a high default rate
