We can sing at the top of our voices about how well a company is doing, but however much we hide the bad...it comes out to the light sooner than later.

I am watching and learning...

please remember coal plants (40% US capacity coal production, if i remember well) were the first thing Obama switched off in the US to signal beginning of the current confusion globally. Hope that leaves you a little "unconfused" about NEW coal plants and what Americans (majority of incoming energy investments) think of coal!

The joke is not lost on us that the Centum share is part of the NSE 20.

For the period, the Centum share on the NSE was down about 18% thus contributing to the poor performance of the NSE 20.

Meanwhile NAV per share was up 9% versus Share performance of -18% from April 1st to Sep 30th and a performance of -30% from Jan to now.

Someone help me out on this.

According to the figures I see on the hashtag#CentumHY2016,

Group Total Comprehensive Income as at 30.09.2014 was Kshs 3.92 B vs 0.79 B in 2015 - a big decline (to say the least). How has the 9% increase been calculated?

I haven't seen the results... But most likely the 9% is increase in NAV. That's what they keep harping about(with bonus in mind) irrespective of other performance metrics.

What he means is that in usa coal is becoming less significant source of energy and people are seeking alternative source of energy solar ,wind and other sources . Soon Africa will follow because of climatic warning implementation both from UN and America .so coal mining won't mean that much soon(global warming )
