As we await, i expect good results for one reason;
Power bills were on stereoids this month. These THIEVES deliberately increased the bills to milk us and report profits.

The date that the results are released is not in contention, but the results are for which period!

Quote:
Kenya Power has posted a 6 per cent increment in net profit to Sh7.43 billion for the year ended June 30.

Net earnings for the previous year stood at Sh6.99 billion.
The utility’s jump in profits was supported by increased electricity sales and a review of the electricity tariff that became effective at the start of December 2013.

“Electricity sales grew by 5 per cent from 6,790 million units the previous year to 7,130 million units in the period under review. This combined with the implementation of the second phase of the tariff calendar period in July 2014 and improved distribution efficiency led to a 24.3 per cent increase in sales revenue,” said Kenya Power in a statement accompanying the results.

A PE of 3.2???

Ama the decision is based on dividend yield?
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

Okay. Then get your cheque book ready. You might just get a chance to buy @ that price on Friday 6th November 2015 (Next Friday).

If it doesn't happen by then, then it will not be happening any time soon!

Where did you get that info? Do you have a link to the balance sheet?

KPLC isn't a dividend payer coz it needs cash to upgrade the grid. In any case, the cash might be temporary while it waits before paying for Work-in-Progress. KPLC has huge liabilities too.
