I hope I got the names correct. I am advised that by use of bricks from clay works or use of waffles being manufactured at Embu, I will safe. Between the waffles and bricks, which one is beter in terms of costs and other technical issues? I ma told that brik slab is able to absorb noise, that waffles are too heavy to lift etc. Which is better for a small mansion?

I am currently preparing to use waffles. I have seen some in Kitengela and they look very good. However I dont know the risks involved in using them.

Consult an architect or a civil engineer. Don't do guesswork.

I have used them. They really save and are technically sound. Cost of buying is less than the plank timber used to support concrete slab. They also reduce cost of wire, concrete and labour. They improve the beuty of ceiling especially if you do not intend to install another ceiling.

The area i put up the suspended slab is about 73m2. The waffles cost me Ksh82000 including delivery, about 10km. Four were not used due to a redesign of the balcony.
