Nice piece, true jicho pevu of our day. Just we didn't have to sit through one hour of eighties tv graphics and internet sound effects...
Am not an actuary or a mathematician but can some one explain to me the probability of all those fairy tale winnings where ALL major prizes are won by people who seemingly spend like 100bob a month on aritime? Mark you, the competition is based on points earned from Kshs spent.
My expectations would be atleast one of the winners will be someone who seemed to have won simply coz they Spent enough AND had lady luck smile their way, as it is ALL safaricom competition are won by people who seem to create just the right PR from rags to riches story. remember the lady from a rural town who won a brand new merc only to have the unforeseen fortunes cause a rift in her marriage?
Maybe we could have someone who'll put some actual probability scenarios that shows that Safaricom don't rig the compe to create free publicity ......
