plots in Ruai 26

I have been getting an offer from a good friend of mine to buy 1/8 acre plot in ruai 26...formerly these plots belonged to Embakasi ranching..i have a gut feeling that it may not be easy for me to get the title,but these plots have alotmnent letters and certificates.....can anyone with the 411 on these plots fill me in? any advice will be highly appreciated.

It all depends with your risk attitude.If you are a risk taker u can go on and buy it hoping that nothing will happen till you get a buyer or if you are planning to settle there no one will come claiming the plot is his.In Kenya document that proves you are the real owner of the land is a title deed.Anything else comes second.Am saying this because i know friends who have lost their hand earned money in Embakasi ranching.Take your time to scrutinise these documents,visit the offices and ask around.Weka kibao in the piece warning any tresspasers.If u dont receive any calls for like 6 months then u can at least relax.
