0.5B translates to about 200,000 bottles per yr, or about 500 bottles per day. That's very little for a country of 40m. That amount should be for a small town like nakuru, not the whole country.

That said, Scotch whiskeys are familiar all over the world. They are more popular than Irish ones hence the confusion that all the well known whiskeys are Scotch.
