the mother in law seems to have always been a gold digger
who does that to their own grand children?

I don't see the "gold digger" detail in that picture. However, I wonder how much of the amount the mother-in-law contributed viz the couple's contribution. I also wonder how a grandmother can throw her grandkids out on the street. Society is rotting day by day. I hope there is a better side of the story.

How was she able to sell the house? Does that mean the title was in her name? Why was it in her name? How much did she contribute? Why didn't she inform the daughter-in-law that she was planning to sell the house, just in case the daughter wanted to buy it?(Assuming it was in her name for whatever reason) There are so many questions on this.

The title must have been in the mother in law's name after she funded the house's purchase. And she did nothing wrong in selling the house. Banks do this all the time when homeowners default on mortgage. Also, assuming that the young woman was to remarry, or was in a new relationship, wouldn't this have been a huge loss to the mother in law?

Issue of family property are quite complicated. I wish we could get the mother in law side of the story. How was the relationship between the daughter and the mother in law while the husband was still alive. For the mother in law to be able to lawfully dispense off the property then it means she had to have been the owner! if so what are the circumstances that lead to her being the owner. One's first step in wisdom is to question everything - and one's last is to come to terms with everything

She admits they borrowed some money from her to clear the house. However, i do not see under what circumstances you can have your own grand children suffer with no house even if you do not agree with the mother of the children. The least she'd have done, in my opinion, was to transfer the property to one or all of the children or a trust which would hold the house on behalf of the children - assuming she was so determined that the daughter in law will not benefit. Whether it was in her name or not, i dont see why she should want to have them kicked out. there are many ways how she could "safeguard" the property (from daughter in law) without kicking the family out.

Maybe the young woman was being eaten by someone else (after husbands death) in the house the mother in law bought for his son....and on his son's matrimonial bed.

Whereas that might be the case there seems to be more to this story than is being revealed Maybe those grand kids are hers by name but they have no contact with their cucu. For a mother in law to thro out her grandkids out something must have gone terribly wrong. Plus as a husband if u suspect your kinsmen are the vulture type u make sure ur property is in ur wifes name, y didnt this happen. There is a posibility the husband may have delibererately let the property ownership remain in his mothers name for some reason One's first step in wisdom is to question everything - and one's last is to come to terms with everything

The beauty of the justice system is that there are always 2 sides. Let's wait for the MIL's side of the story and somewhere in between will lie the truth.
