What's the way forward I tend to believe every organisation is governed by a set of rules. Is the mother right in suing rusinga?

Every institution has rules and regulations to be followed if you can’t abide to them their other schools the child can be allowed with dreadlocks. The issue of running to the courts now and then is tiring do we have so much time and money to waste on nonsensical matters?.

...Somebody did a research on the number of Kenyan women married to foreigners and some of his findings were that majority had very little education or no education at all and were once twilight girls who were picked at K street and made wives.
He also found that many of those foreigners were either pensioners, drug addicts, etc...

The school might respond with more formal requirements, dotting the all i's and crossing all the t's.

Now even things that might have been let off lightly might now be scrutinised thoroughly, spoiling for everybody else.

Some things should just be let go instead of making a fuss over them.

Really....a bit tricky but there are favourable precedents e.g the case in the US that led to the dropping of uniforms in public school...

The other thing is it will only succeed if it was to enforce a constitutional right...rem a case where the SDA church went to court to prevent children who subscribe to the faith from attending class on Sabbath...won hands down.

True that. But where were they for the four years he has been schooling there? Never raised a finger, until now.

Right anayo. For that is the most civil way of sorting out grievances. Winning is a different case. The school is private, and is founded on x-tianity so she may not win.
But does x-tianity prohibit dreadlocks. I think its British Colonialists and not the church that associated Locks to Mau Mau, Ethiopian dini etc.Nazarites like Samson and John the Baptist were not shaven. #Corrections Accepted#

Just seen a photo of the sweet boy on the new X news magazine.

Why does the mum want to take him through this?

The school has rules and they must be followed by whoever wants admission in the school.Period.

Nairobi has many other schools...let her try elsewhere.

She strikes me as those women who have a fight with society and believes in nobody else but herself.

This case is all about her proving a point about herself..that she is a tough mama and nobody can joke with her.

Unless its for religious reasons then I think the school should kaa ngumu.

Another point for me is to let Cungu be a child.Let him play, soil himself etc without a care about maintaining his locks.Wash the head every evening.
Love is beautiful and so are those who share it.With Love, Marriage is an amazing event in ones life time, the foundation of joy, happiness and success.
