Did you know that Ugandan President, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is Luhya? Museveni from Rwakitura in Nyabushozi county in Kiruhuura district, comes from the Bahima clan of the Banyankole. This clan is also found among Abawanga of Mumias, Kenya and are the original founders of what we now know as Wanga Kingdom. Descended from the Chwezi Kingdom, Bahima are also found among the Tutsi of Rwanda and Bahaya of Tanzania.
