Scary is an understatement even. Wa! I was going to ask how on earth ATC let this happen but this website claims the Airbus was never instructed to be there i.e. it made an unauthorized runway incursion. That was damn close.

Worst air disaster was under the same circumstances -Tenerife airport disaster, but that happened with poor visibility. This near miss was in broad daylight! As @kysse says, yellow sun.....
