I see BIDCO Relocating to Uganda

I raised my head(...has helmet) above the ground and saw BIDCO relocating its offices from Kenya. They were headed to Uganda. I have no link.....but you can dig up this post when it happens and discover you were informed in advance.
The reason for relocation is not insecurity.

Most of their raw material is grwn there (palm)and i think they have a plant there. Relocating .... i dont think so

BIDCO's largest market remains Kenya and most of the imports [palm oil] comes via Mombasa so until Dar-es-Salaam ups its game and forces firms to process palm oil in Tanzania [for the SADDC market] there is no reason for BIDCO to move.

Palm oil is imported from Asia- Malaysia, Indonesia etc. The Ugandan farms are new and not in very large scale.

In fact they are expanding their Thika operations. Maybe they are just relocating some functions there
