I like everything aviation and would like to share this passion with anyone out here who likes anything about machines that fly. I've subscribed to @OwnsGermany an aviation junkie who i believe works at Boeing's Paines Fiels in Seattle,WA. So here is the 2nd KQ773 passing by what I believe is ET's 787 Enjoy. You have just given me a new obsession. Will be timing those KQ flights. @jaggernaut, the 787 is currently training thats why its doing the nrb-msa route now. quite sad! but people should not stop innovating and trying out things just because they may die. it's really a risk driving to work - you may die from very many many causes but we still do it. i know that analogy is a bit off but i hope you get the 'spirit' of the message. it's this fear that has kept africans from the sea and the air - we need to master these elements! All Mushrooms are edible! Some Mushroom are only edible ONCE!

the plane would only be profitable in extremely busy routes probably china. this is one reason the Concorde had to go too. i.am.back!!!!

@muchr can you shade some light on how the airlines make their money. You see one the documentary mentioned that the plane took off with 60 tonnes of fuel. Can you estate this, given the prevailing rate of gasoline, the food, the drinks, the pilot/crew pay prorated to day, the airport net-off, wear & tear, return on investment on plane purchase price etc
Take a typical Boen and estimate average one-way ticket price. What is their make?

Source @Ash Ock has tried to answer you. These hidden costs* are the reason why MDs have to make sure the planes are in the air through out. A plane parked somewhere is not profitable at all. Again, its important to ply routes where you are guaranteed to have passengers. Eg for KQ the china route-Guangzhou- Bangkok-Nrb-Lagos is the best.
