I'd love to see if this decongests the city...has helped in other countries.

We try both, and see what works. Anyways folks are used to paying per hour in malls, airport, hospitals etc. Why not the city centre as well?

If we want to deconjest the town by charging more parking fees then we must also avail means of people getting to town without their cars, how do we achieve this when we are now banning PSVs and Taxis from town????

The first thing you learn in marketing is the law of demand and supply. There's more demand for parking in the CBD than supply so automatically the fee should be increased. This has been 3 years loss of revenue for the council because the parking would have been full at 300/- 5years ago!

BBI will solve it

Only matatus that dont ply Nairobi County are banned from CBD.

Its not banning, They can operate within town(CBD) upon application and issue if licence by the CGN
