I really need help. I recently found out that my nephew is a voyeur after being caught peeping into our best friend's house. The guy is 21 years old and has been staying with me because he attends college in Nairobi and has no one else to stay with. I confronted him and he admitted to doing this to people in the neighborhood for a year and a half now. He has been pretending to go on walks and be gone for 1-2 hours. I'm completely devasted because I don't know what to do after the embarrassment he has caused me. He is devasted too and is extremely sorry and embarrased this happened. Should I kick him out of my house?...........please help,I'm desperate.

Just like Magigi below even I cannot see what the problem is. I can appreciate your concern for for his safety but if he can run fast you need not worry. Alternatively you can buy him a telescope so he does not need to get too close. You can also get him a DVD and TV in his room and believe you me he will find what he needs to watch for himself. Just out of curiosity haven't you ever wondered what other people are doing behind those closed doors???? Let the boy be. Weusi wa nywele za mshtakiwa zaonyesha ujinga alio nao

The boy is fine. At that age its normal. I am sure you will also be ‘shocked’ to find out he masturbates? Give me a break. There is nothing wrong with what he is doing as long as he does not infringe on anybody’s rights. You must remember though that if he is caught,he could be arraigned in court. Kicking him out of the house is to desensitise him sexually. Instead start talking to him about sex,not with the aim of telling him to abstain,but to use protection.

One and half years without getting caught? Now thats talent and as such must be cultivated....he might turn out to be one of our best detectives.

In another thread I mentioned something like this. Its the thread about 'get a life'....essentially we are soon going to start reaping the benefits of how we are socialising kids today. I was critical about Big Brother Africa and how it encourages voyeurism and exhibitionism...you nephew may feel,that after taking a peek into the BBA house,its only natural that he peeps into other peoples houses....bad. We're victims of our own making. Turn off that TV set. The problem with equality is that we desire that it be with those that have more than us rather that those that have less

This guy is just curious once he is done feeding his curiousity he will go back to normal,,,,each one of us must have wondered at some point in time what happens behind closed doors,,,,infact his curiousity is a good thing just encourage him to use the same in other factors affecting life... u never know he might become the next gertrude mungai.... and his opening speech would go like.... After years of observing couples or soon to be couples having sex or making love whichever is applicable i have noticed that there is a gap in the act that has proven to be the most important in any marriage........ Its just me whatever choice you make in life make sure that you can live with it.

ROFLMAO! well,i see no problem with this kid turned adult.... it is very normal and if most of us are to be very frank,we have at one time or the other found ourselves in his shoes.... i won't be shocked to know that a nosy parker enjoys or gets more satisfied than the person on the act... @ kaza just let him know that it can make him walk with blisters and swollen face... you've heard me..
