Maybe our local pension fund and government can borrow from this. Invest globally rather than restricting investments to local stocks and bonds in order to maximize wealth. There are other bonds and stocks around the world than yield more. The fund owns around 1 percent of the world's stocks, as well as bonds and real estate from London to Boston, making the Nordic nation an exception when others are struggling under a mountain of debts.

On a long enough timeline, the life expectancy of everyone drops to zero.

Is there any one particular fund in Kenya that invests in global and local stocks and bonds? I usually hear about a portfolio on investments in local companies, never heard any with global ones. Like day-trading bonds, they are relatively low risk rather than sitting on bond positions for long as inflation eats into them.

What do you expect from an org which has the likes of Atwoli in the board does NSSF even know the amount they ought to receive at the end of each month?
