Dear Wazuans, we are in the process of transferring our ancestral land from SFT to one of our elder bro(succession) since our dad is late. We need to get the title of the piece (dad hadn't processed)-it’s an agricultural piece in Kakamega county.
Forgive me am not savvy on land issues.
I hear the stamp duty is at the rate of 4%, others say its 2%. Which is which?
The piece is about 80 acres and we will need a surveyor before the land is sub-divided. How do surveyors charge? Do they charge per acre or? Any other information I should know about this whole process?
Any one who knows a good licensed surveyor in these areas- Kakamega, Bungoma, Eldoret, Kitale?
There are a number of parties interested and alot of misinformation. I would like to be educated on these issues dear wazuans.
