Am just curious to know about the the charges and commissions per transaction but since my calls to the broker go unanswered am compelled to turn to my Wazua family.
Are there hidden charges in the suntra online trading platform?
for example an order of 100 MSC shares at ksh 3.50 each should attract 2.1% commission which is ksh 7.35 and the total is ksh. 357.35. however the online platform computation shows that the same 100 share + the commission is ksh. 577.35 a difference of Ksh. 220.d'oh! Has any one else noticed? is there a logical explanation to this? Do other brokers charge the same coz I have not been that keen with the commissions.

The 220 bob crap is KRA stamp duty which you MUST pay while posting the transaction but reversed (money given back) once the order has been executed. I have never understood why. But you dont lose the money.

Next time talk to Ngetich at customer service (very nice guy, overworked and answers all querries) and a guy call Anthony at the back office(polite but Knowledgeable). Simple when you get to switchboard just say i have an issue with Tangaza, they will give you either of the two guys above chap chap.
