Are they really worth it? Thats of unless of course you are in academia.
Statistics in the US alone show that 30% of phds drop out in first year, only 50% finish while average time to finish is 9 years!

Mimi huwa sioni haja yake. Learning in our education system is just plain boring, endless cramming and regurgitating the same 'facts' at exam time.
Life is like playing a violin solo in public and learning the instrument as one goes on.

Confucius' 'Great learning' is more preferable to have, but it takes 'eternity' and those who acquire it are well below 50% of those who seek it, globally.

Ask yourself

? If everybody who went to campo left with the first degree/Diploma and looked for the next available job where shall our institutions of higher learning be. Considering in most fields a PhD is the precursor to Professorship can you picture that scenario?

Much of the research we enjoy is carried out by PhDs most of them have sacrificed great opportunities and even family to attain the Letters and remain at the universities and attain their status.

Let us respect them and personally i support and Pray Pray pray for those who answer this humble calling.
Trust me it is like the catholic Priests...
i cant thank all my professors enough

Me I think it is a good thing........

But some holders in Kenya have a look that is not motivating.

They look frustrated, tired, older than their real age etc

Our eduction system orients us to believe that the more books you read and hold higher certs the more monied you should be....but alas...Phd holders.

The part that discourages me most is that one of living in their own strange world.........majority hit the bottle hard.
Love is beautiful and so are those who share it.With Love, Marriage is an amazing event in ones life time, the foundation of joy, happiness and success.
